Why We Exist
At Creator Connect, we believe in the transformative power of creativity and collaboration. As the nonprofit arm of SFWRUNWAY, our mission is to create a world where creators—whether they are designers, influencers, models, or artists—have the tools, community, and resources to thrive. We recognize the unique challenges faced by creative entrepreneurs and are dedicated to bridging the gap between ambition and access.
For too long, many creators have struggled to find affordable spaces, opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals, and the support needed to bring their visions to life. Creator Connect exists to change that narrative by fostering an inclusive, vibrant community that celebrates creativity and innovation.
The Work We Do
Creator Connect works tirelessly to support the creative ecosystem through meaningful initiatives, including:
- Hosting Inclusive Events: From networking mixers to hands-on workshops and curated runway shows, we create spaces for creators to meet, collaborate, and showcase their talent.
- Educational Opportunities: Through digital courses, webinars, and mentorship programs, we provide actionable resources for creators to grow their skills and businesses.
- Creator Job Boards: We help creators navigate the often uncertain gig economy by connecting them with opportunities in the fashion, media, and entertainment industries.
- Advocacy for Representation: We champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in the creative industries, with a strong focus on supporting underrepresented groups such as Black-owned brands, Latinx designers, and plus-size creatives.
Our Vision for 2025: The Creator House
Our mission for 2025 is ambitious, yet deeply rooted in our purpose: to establish a Creator House, a physical space where creators can come together to connect, innovate, and grow.
The Creator House will offer:
- Co-working Spaces: For creators who need an inspiring environment to work on projects, meet with collaborators, or develop their businesses.
- Event Spaces: A versatile venue for members to host their own events, from product launches to intimate gatherings.
- Photography and Videography Studios: Fully equipped spaces for photoshoots, content creation, and creative experimentation.
- Community Connection: Regularly hosted events and programming to foster relationships and collaboration among members.
This Creator House will embody our core belief: that when creators are empowered with the right resources and a supportive community, they can achieve greatness.
